Welcome to Glenview
Settlers in this family-friendly village are granted the best of urban living alongside a colorful history and a quieter lifestyle
Flush with verdant landscapes, tree-lined streets, and peaceful neighborhoods, the Village of Glenview sits inland from Lake Michigan, just 20 miles north of Chicago. Glenview maintains a smaller population compared to inner-Chicago suburbs, and yet still boasts a remarkably diverse demographic.
The village is surprisingly hip for its small-town feel, and its incorporation in 1899 means that Glenview retains a great, rich history. Subdivisions separate locals from the bustle of busy intersections and new developments, and the village’s close proximity to Chicago O’Hare International Airport — just 22 minutes south — allows for easy travel.
The housing market in Glenview is saturated with incredible finds, from mid-century gems to newer-construction townhomes within walking distance of everything. Custom-build, contemporary homes are popping up in serene neighborhoods, while a solid number of multimillion-dollar estates and executive homes populate highly coveted neighborhoods. Styles can range from Cape Cod and resplendent French Colonial to traditional brick.

Dining, Entertainment, Shopping
An outdoor shopping center and multi-use development, Glen Tower Center is often thought of as the pulse of Glenview. Boutique retailers and upscale salons create an environment perfect for pampering; whether that means attending a Pure Barre class and sweating out the day’s stresses or freshening up your look with the services at Gordon Salon. Glen Tower Center is also ripe with delectable restaurants, such as Yard House. As a high-end version of a classic sports bar, Yard House brags an impressive beer menu of craft and local brews along with its array of innovative dishes.

A retro-cool interior is a signature facet of this local chain, and diners rave over the signature apple pancakes and thick-cut bacon.
